Weekend Reads

I'm spending some much needed quality time with these three loves this weekend. I think there is going to be some bike shopping (yay for tax returns!), bathroom painting, lots of movie watching (Toy Story 3 is now on Netflix demand! Drew is already watching it as I write this....), and some napping. I can't wait!

What are you up to this weekend?

. . .

Here are a few links for your weekend downtime:

+I love these stripes and also love that it is the same color as my office. Sage Gray is the way to go.

+ Did I ever show you this before & after? I LOVE both of the items. Love them.

+ I think this is a super cute decorating idea for any party or shower.

+ I have a serious addiction to this lady, especially this post (maybe because it involves an invitation, a party, and decorations!) and I stumbled upon this too that is just a perfect and absolutely ingenious idea for little ones.

+ This branding is amazing. The final product perfectly communicates the business.

+ This is a great idea. Who is up for a design party? I need some critiquing!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend! See you Monday.

Inside Look: Weddings, Showers, & Babies

{Mess of an Office}
I need a better system. I currently do all my finishing/assembly work on the floor. ugh. I am open for suggestions. Remember, my desk is tiny.

Picture description from left to right:
1. Drew's toy garage that he pretends is a pirate ship. Apparently he thought the semi-truck hanging out the door was treasure because it looks as though he tried to bury it.
2. Fishing line?
3. Scraps from one the wedding projects below. If you buy handmade you are supporting less waste. I try to get as much out of one piece of paper as humanly possible. Ask my Bible study girls what they write their prayer requests on each week... haha.
4. (top left) NECESSARY tools of the trade: 2" circle punch, scissors, double-sided adhesive (this stuff saved my life when I realized its existence), 1/4" hole punch, a heavy duty rotary cutter and on the far right you see my double puncher
5. The wedding placecards on the assembly line
6. And more scraps.

{Pretty Wedding Compliments}
Table Numbers & Place Cards
The place cards will be used with straws! Isn't that an adorable idea?
The bride came up with that one, so ingenius.

{Bridal Shower Accessories}
I tried my hand at this tutorial. I made one large one and two small ones. I LOVE them.
(and secretly want to hang them in my house.)

{Sweet Baby Announcement}
I love this very sweet and so dear-to-us family and was beyond happy to work on their baby announcements.
What a joy!

. . .
What are you working on? Any DIY projects keeping you busy?

Stay tuned, my little winner from here (*it's not too late to take a guess!) will be announced tomorrow!

Weekend Reads

Tonight is Aletheia's annual Chilly Chili Fest. Love it.

Last year my oldest son was a rock star... and last weekend I dressed him as a rock star again (totally impromptu so we could get free candy and a free hot dog from the grocery store...haha.)

I feel like he is growing up so fast...

Let's be honest though, is he not the cutest little rock star you have ever seen???

I will be posting pictures on Monday as to what he dressed up as this year. :)

What are you doing this weekend?!

. . .

A few reads from around the web:

You should make this. I know I want to.

I think this would help my life be a little more organized and inspired and less chaotic. I emailed them for more information... as of yet they are only handing out personal invitations. I will let you know if I get one of those 'personal invitations.'

This bride made her own wedding dress... out of a sheet!

Ok. So, I love babies... and would probably have a gazillion if it weren't for the pregnancy/labor part...haha. BUT I kind of want to be pregnant again just so I can dress like this super cute mama.

LOVE this.

AND this.

. . .

Lots to look forward to next week! So check back for another sale and the Christmas Card preview!

Have a great weekend!

Weekend Reads

Last weekend seems to be a blur but I do remember that my little ones and I had some fun outside... I am thinking we should make that happen again tomorrow for sure. And there may be a little pumpkin/fall festival action thrown in there somewhere too, we shall see.

What are you doing this weekend?

. . .

Here are some highlights from the week!
Enjoy & have a great weekend!

+ Don't forget to take advantage of the sale on recipe cards
+ Enter here for a chance to win a FREE set of address labels and notecards or calling cards. {Just leave a comment telling us what your 'when I grow up I want to be/do...' dream was when you were little.}
+ I am obsessed with before & afters. These two are amazing!
+ A perfect fall wedding color palette. {Her inspiration board is amazing... love the printed details.}
+ I like this Christmas journal (last year I tried to make my own and keep it up... um... let's just say we are going to try again this year.)
+ A giveaway coming from here, 4 weeks of budget friendly menus, AND I can't wait to see her finished Christmas journal.

I relax by creating, making, doing... if you are the same way, here are some things you could make this weekend:
+ A fun weekend project idea
+ If I had a sewing machine and if I could sew I would be making one of these... right now. Love it.
+ Make your own notepads?! Please and thank you.
+ Cute and relatively easy?! For her probably... not sure if mine would turn out so amazing.
+ I kind of love this and think it would make a really great Christmas gift.
+ I am thinking my 3 year old would like to make this... and then hang it in his window like we did his snowflakes last winter. I'm going to go do that now. :)
