And the winner is...

My sweet husband drew the winner for the give away and he drew Heather's name!

Congratulations Heather!

I am thinking this new bride would love a set of thank you notes or monogrammed stationary...

And now I need your help!

Hypothetically, if you were going to choose between these two options of flooring which would you pick? The lighter is Cameroon Acacia and the darker is Everglades Mahogany.

Cameroon Acacia against our tile.

Everglades Mahogany against our tile.

OK. I need your opinion asap. THANKS!

Have a happy Saturday!

  1. Ace and I both like the darker option :)

  2. i agree, i like the everglades one...but then you know about my troubles with decorating and how great you are at it! haha LOVE YOU!!

  3. Darker wood for sure! makes everything else pop!

ps. I'm a friend of Ali's, love your blog and designs!

  4. I like the darker one too :) I feel like anything (light furniture or dark) will go with the dark. We have dark hardwoods and love the color (the keeping them clean part is a whole other story ;)) - I was worried it might make the house seem dark (the whole first floor is hardwood), but it really doesn't - we have a tan colored area rug, and always have the blinds open and such. I'm sure whatever you choose will be fabulous- you're such a great decorator! :)Have fun :)

  5. I like the lighter one with the carpet and tile. But that's just me. I would take anyone else's advice over mine. Have to do something similar with cabinets soon. Maybe I'll email you a picture.

  6. I like the darker one because it has more contrast with the other floors and the objects in your house. And I love dark wood!

  7. Darker definitely, but keep the dust bunny mop handy.

  8. I vote for the deeper richer tones.
