Ideas For Your Valentine's Day

Here are a few links for your Valentine's Day Weekend

These would be cute made into sweet little Valentine's.

Heart-Shaped Peppermint Patties. Yes, please.

This makes me want to have a 'no boys allowed', completely 100% girly (insert: sparkly) Valentine's Day Party.

Super cute decorations

Snowflake Hearts

I think this is so sweet and adorable... although I would never have the patience (insert: sewing ability) to make this.

Use these, Heart & Lollipop Flowers for your little ones to give to his/her friends.

And I definitely want to make this with Drew this weekend.

. . . . . .

More fun ideas to help you celebrate Valentine's Day with your little ones:

+ Make Valentine's to give to family and friends.

+ Make Valentine's Day decorations for your home. Decorate your table and your little one's chair or place setting (THIS is adorable!)

+ Make heart-shaped cookies, cupcakes, etc. to give to family and friends.

+ Be a Valentine to someone who may not have one (i.e. visit an elderly home and bring lots of Valentine's to give away).

+ Make a special Valentine's Day breakfast, lunch, or dinner. (i.e. heart-shaped pancakes)

. . . . . .

How do you celebrate Valentine's Day with your love and your lovely little ones?

Any traditions in your family? I would love to hear them!

Go Ahead...

I mentioned in the last post that I have been a busy little business owner, tackling all sorts of odds and ends that really needed tackling last year... or even, the year before that. Nonetheless the endless list is getting shorter and shorter... it is nothing short of a miracle.

I think we can be our own worst enemies when it comes to life, especially for those of us who may be perfectionists. We shy away from anything that may not end with a perfect result. In hindsight I think that my procrastination regarding that endless list was not an insufficient amount of time but rather a fear that if I really put myself out there, really made a genuine effort at this business (stop talking about it and start making it happen...) that I would fail... that no one would be interested in what I had to offer, much less buy my product.

I realized all this after I had spent 4 weeks creating new products, photographing products, updating and listing said products in my shop. So, it was too late to do anything about this new realized fear.

Guess what happened?

I have sold and keep selling beautifully designed stationary.

Yay!

I sold my first wedding invitation samples this week. I have done lots of wedding stationary over the years but none through my online shop, which was one of my goals for last year.

Below is the little package and handwritten note that the bride will receive. The invitation samples were wrapped in a beautiful handmade paper and of course, tied with Ashlee Proffitt Design's signature twine.

I attribute all my learning and growing over the past month to God. I prayed for help and He has given. He is teaching me so much everyday about His perfect desire for my life and He continues to teach me through this business venture. I know... this sounds a little deep for a tiny little sell of an invitation sample... but trust me, this was a loooong time coming. :)

Lesson of the Day: Fear should never be a reason to not try and to give it your all.
